Elixir

Elixir is a young language designed to be another method to write Erlang code. The syntax is pretty close to Ruby but offer all the features of Erlang language.

Elixir is mainly used in web development with Phoenix web framework and Ecto database toolkit. Elixir is robust, reliable with an understable syntax for people coming from traditional language.
